In JTBC’s drama “Family by Choice”, tensions rise as Yoon Jung-jae (Choi Won-young) unexpectedly encounters Kang Seo-hyun (Baek Eun-hye), who disappeared a decade ago without a word.
Year ago, Jung-jae and Seo-hyun met through a blind date and got into a relationship. Both were single parents – Jung-jae raising his daughter, Yoon Joo-won, while Seo-hyun raising her son, Kang Hae-jun. Yet, they got close after their first meeting. Then out of nowhere, Seo-hyun called Jung-jae to borrow some money, which he provided without any question.
After that, Seo-hyun vanished without any contact and Jung-jae took Hae-jun as his own son. After ten years of being without any contact, she suddenly appeared at Jung-jae’s noodle shop, repaying the money she borrowed ten years ago. Jung-jae asked her to see her son once, but Seo-hyun turned her back, leaving Jung-jae with unanswered questions.
In the newly released image previews for episode 11, Jung-jae is visibly shaken to meet Seo-hyun once again, as if he never expected to see her in such a place. Seo-hyun’s expression is also grave, filling the moment with an intense atmosphere. Her sudden reappearance brings new mysteries, especially as Hae-jun has also just returned to town. Now, viewers are curious whether Jung-jae’s long-held wish to reunite mother and son will finally come true.
“Family by Choice” episode 11 and 12 will air on November 13, 8:50 PM (KST) on JTBC. It is available to stream on TVING, Netflix, U-Next, Viu and Viki, varying by regions.
