In episode 5 of MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama, “When The Phone Rings”, Baek Sa-eon (played by Yoo Yeon-seok) finds out a shocking truth about the person blackmailing him and his wife, Hong Hui-joo (Chae Soo-bin). The episode will air tonight at 9:40 PM (KST) and is expected to reveal more secrets about their troubled marriage.
In this episode, Baek Sa-eon and Hong Hui-joo attend a work dinner together. Their colleagues, who do not know they are married, notice something unusual about them. During the dinner, Sa-eon steps out to meet Park Do-jae (Choi Woo-jin), his assistant, who gives him a voice recording of the blackmailer. When Sa-eon hears the recording, his reaction shows that he has discovered something surprising.
At the same time, Hui-joo is in a difficult situation. She is being threatened by a man (Park Jae-yoon) who helped her fake the kidnapping earlier. Hui-joo struggles to hide her guilt whenever she sees Sa-eon. The episode will show how long she can keep her secrets hidden.
Meanwhile, Sa-eon takes action to get more proof about the blackmailer. He asks Do-jae to help him with a private task, showing that he is determined to uncover the truth about the blackmailer.
