“Usotoki Rhetoric” Episode 3 Synopsis:

In this episode, Kanoko is working as an assistant at Sōma’s detective agency, which is filled with junk because Sōma takes anything people give him. They head out with a cart full of items to a second-hand shop. Sōma plans to use Kanoko’s ability to make sure they don’t get cheated on the prices.

At the shop, the owner mentions he got drunk and had his wallet stolen on 60th Street. Later, Sōma’s friend, a detective named Kaoru Hashizaki (played by Ryōsuke Mikata), visits and shows a photo of a woman he thinks might be someone called “Lady of the Moss Rose”. This woman once helped him when he was sick, but Sōma denies she’s the same person. However, Kanoko realizes that Sōma is lying.
