“The Tale of Lady Ok” Lim Ji-yeon Asks, “May I Be Selfish..?”

JTBC’s new weekend drama “The Tale of Lady Ok”, which is set to premiere from November 30, has released its fourth teaser. It is about the story of Ok Tae-young (played by Lim Ji-yeon), a woman whose name, status and even husband are fake, and Cheon Seung-hwi (played by Choo Young-woo), a storyteller who is ready to risk even his life to protect her.

The new drama “The Tale of Lady Ok” follows Ok Tae-young, who runs away from her life as a slave and pretends to be a noblewoman, and Cheon Seung-hwi, who hides his past as the eldest son of a rich and powerful family. The fourth teaser gives us a look at their unexpected meeting and the beginning of their love story.

In the teaser released on November 14, Cheon Seung-hwi sees Ok Tae-young’s beauty through his eyes. As a storyteller, his words describe her charm in detail, showing not only her looks but also his feelings for her. He uses soft, poetic words like “butterfly”, “complexion”, “gaze”, and “late spring” to describe her, looking at her warm smile. After that, with a surprising tone, he calls her a “noble” but quickly adds, “I am in love with a slave, not a noble lady”, touching the viewers’ heart.

Ok Tae-young also sees Cheon Seung-hwi in a crowd and gives him a shy smile. Her quiet words, “May I be selfish, just this once?” show her true feelings, leaving a strong impression.
