“Spice & Wolf: Merchant Meets The Wise Wolf” Season 2 has officially been announced by their official website. The anime is based on the works of Isuna Hasekura in his light novel and directed by Takeo Takahashi. They have also released the visual for the second season. In the season one, Holo is voiced by Ami Koshimizu and Lawrence is voiced by Jun Fukuyama.
Spice & Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf (Japanese: Ōkami to Kōshinryō / 狼と香辛料) is about Lawrence, a traveling merchant, and Holo, the wolf god, who leave the church city of Rübinheigen. On their journey, they arrive at Kummersund, a busy town full of winter markets and festivals. They are there to learn more about Holo’s home, Yoitsu. In the town, they meet a young fish seller named Amati, who quickly falls for Holo. As Amati starts getting closer to her, a small misunderstanding happens between Lawrence and Holo. This leads to more confusion, and soon, both Lawrence and Amati’s businesses are caught up in the trouble.
Unlike the first Spice & Wolf anime series, which lasted only for two seasons, this series is likely to cover the entire light novel, considering the popularity of the main character and the anime.
For now, we only have the key visuals released by the creators. So, enjoy the season one until we get more information regarding the season two.
