Seo Hyun-woo is set to transform into a new villain in SBS’s upcoming drama “The Fiery Priest 2”. In this new season, Hyun-woo takes on the role of Nam Doo-heon, the head prosecutor of the Busan Narcotics Unit, who is known for his ruthless ambition despite his humble background.
“The Fiery Priest 2” is directed by Park Bo-ram and written by Park Jae-beom. And it is set to start airing from 8th November at 10 PM (KST), replacing the slot of “Judge from Hell” in SBS.
The story is about a priest, Father Kim Hae-il (played by Kim Nam-gil), who has anger management issues and moves to Busan to take down a powerful drug cartel. He lives the double life of a priest by the day and an underworld boss by the night.
Seo Hyun-woo’s character, Nam Doo-heon, is a fast-rising prosecutor who does not hesitate to turn a blind eye to the wrongdoings of influential figures, as long as he can take advantage from them.
New stills reveal Doo-heon watching people outside a restaurant with a sharp gaze, suggesting his calculated approach to each encounter. In one scene, he focuses intently on a conversation. All this suggesting his willingness to abandon justice to climb the social ladder.
“The Fiery Priest 2” will be reuniting the cast of the 2019-hit, “The Fiery Priest” for the first time in five years, so we can expect both the chemistry of the returning stars and the dynamic energy of the new additions like Seo Hyun-woo.
