Ryu Hae-jun As Violent Two-Faced Stalker in “Face Me”

KBS 2TV’s latest drama, “Face Me”, premiered its first episode on November 6. We saw Ryu Hae-jun portraying as Choi Chang-min, who can be seen acting as a violent and two-faced stalker in the first episode, enough to spark anger from viewers.

Face Me” follows the story of a cold-hearted plastic surgeon Cha Jung-woo (Lee Min-ki) and passionate detective Lee Min-hyung (Han Ji-hyun), as they team up to investigate criminal cases through reconstructive surgery. The drama blends medical and crime thriller elements, focusing on the investigation of truth for crime victims.

Ryu Hae-jun, in his role as Choi Chang-min, is seen stalking Kim Da-hee (played by Park Seung-yeon) after her consultation at a plastic surgery clinic. Kim Da-hee pushes him away from her, when he tries to stop her from getting into her car. It makes him fall to the ground and his hand is injured by a broken glass. It makes him lose control and attack her with a glass bottle which leaves a severe injury on Da-hee’s face.

At the police station, he tries to downplay the incident, claiming it was accidental. However, we see his aggressive demeanour once again when he lashes out at his lawyer, showing his two-faced nature again. He was eventually caught by the police, as the incident leads to a join collaboration between the police and the plastic surgery clinic.

His performance as the unsettling Choi Chang-min brought authentic-feel to each scene, especially in moments where he shifts from fake remorse to bursts of anger. His realistic portrayer as the violent stalker stilled anger and suspense among viewers.

Ryu Hae-jun has been gathering attention by playing various roles in different dramas such as “Connection”, “See You in My 19th Life”, “Dog Knows Everything” etc.

Face Me” is a new KBS 2TV drama which premieres every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:50 PM (KST). It is available to stream on Viki and Wavve but the availability may vary depending on your region.
