New Art Poster from “Doubt” Shows Tae-soo’s Inner Conflict

The on-going drama “Doubt” has been gaining attention for its movie-like quality and gripping story. It focuses on the complex relationship between profiler Jang Tae-soo (played by Han Seok-kyu) and his daughter Ha-bin (played by Chae Won-bin), who is tied to a murder case.

In the drama, Tae-soo is torn between trusting his daughter and doubting her. Han Seok-kyu’s portrayal of a father caught between trust and suspicion is compelling, while newcomer Chae Won-bin holds her own, creating a tense father-daughter dynamic.

The drama, produced by MBC, is praised not only for its acting but also for its writing and direction. Episode 4, which aired on October 19, shocked viewers with a surprising twist.

Ha-bin’s actions revealed that she was trying to find those who blackmailed her late mother, Yoon Ji-soo (Oh Yeon-soo), who had died by suicide. The episode ended with Ji-soo being shown disposing of a body in the mountains where the murder occurred, hinting at her deeper involvement in the crime.

An art poster released recently shows the drama’s themes. The tagline, “The greatest enemy of truth is not lies but belief”, expresses Tae-soo’s struggle. His shadow in the dark represents his confusion, while tree roots surrounding him symbolize the doubts that have taken root over time.

The production team shared that the upcoming episodes would explore the consequences of Tae-soo’s doubts, with more twists and emotional depth to come. The show raises a key question: how well do we truly know our loved ones? As Tae-soo faces the truth, viewers can expect even more surprises in the second half of the series.

Due to the broadcast of the 2024 KBO Korean Series Game 4, episode 5 of “Doubt” will air on October 26 at 9:50 PM (KST), instead of October 25.
