Anime adaptation of the light novel – Nageki no Bourei wa Intai shitai (“Let This Grieving Soul Retire!”) is set to be premiered on 1st October 2024 starting with Tokyo MX and BS-NTV and then other channels. The main visual and the second promo was recently released in their official website.
It is being directed by Masahiro Takata, known for his work on The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World and it will be produced by studio ZERO-G. The series was originally a novel by Tsukikage which was started from 2018 and later, the manga serialization began in the year 2019 by Rai Hebino.
The story follows Krai – the main character, who dreams of being a treasure hunter with his childhood friends. However, Krai realizes he isn’t suited for the dangerous adventures. The expectations keep increasing alongside our MC’s fear for his life. His childhood friends continue to pursue their dreams, while Krai just wants to retire.

- Krai Andrey: Kensho Ono (known for Akutagawa in Bungo Stray Dogs)
- Tino Shade: Miyu Kubota (known for Karin in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club)
- Recently announced characters voiced by Akio Ootsuka, Jun Fukuyama, and Haruka Michii.
