In Episode 5 of “My Treasure”, Makoto, who is dealing with the pain of a recent divorce, witnesses a tender moment between Miu and Ryo Fuyutsuki (Tatsuya Fukazawa), the man Miu secretly loves and leans on for support. This scene, where Miu and Ryo comfort each other, leaves Makoto feeling confused and hurt, which makes her confront Miu in an attempt to understand her choices.
Later, Makoto joins a dinner hosted by Miu and her husband Hiroki (Kei Tanaka), where Miu’s mother Kazumi (Yumi Takigawa) has returned home temporarily from the hospital. The warmth of the family setting stirs conflicting emotions in Makoto, torn between admiration and resentment as she observes the seemingly perfect family dynamic Miu has created.
Meanwhile, Ryo visits an orphanage where his late colleague, Kenta Shimohara, used to volunteer. There, Ryo meets Kenta’s younger brother, Hayato (Takumi Nishigaki), and their interaction gradually brings light to Hayato’s grief. Ryo’s kindness shows a softer side to his character, revealing his depth and care for others affected by loss.
As the tension in the relationships deepens, Makoto decides to approach Miu directly, looking into her eyes with a plea for honesty, “I trust you, Miu… so please tell me the truth.”
“My Treasure” episode 5 will air on November 14 at 10 PM (JST) on Fuji TV.
