Netflix has just announced the trailer and release month for the season 2 of My Happy Marriage anime. They have released the trailer for the next season on their Netflix Anime YouTube channel.
Apart from the trailer and release month, they have also announced three new characters and their voice actors.
My Happy Marriage is one of the biggest anime hits in Netflix. The anime series is based on the works of Akumi Agitogi’s light novel with the same name. It was the second most popular anime in the first half of 2023 in Netflix and still fairing good in Netflix’s first half ranking of 2024 at #604.
Trailer and Release:
Netflix Anime channel has released the trailer in their channel and also announced that the second season of this series will be on January 2025.
My Happy Marriage Plot:
Miyo Saimori (voiced by Reina Ueda), born from a loveless arranged marriage, lost her mother young and was treated as a servant by her father’s new wife and daughter, Kaya, who inherited the family’s powers.
Miyo, having no gift (powers), was seen as worthless. After years of obeying and hiding her pain, she is forced into an arranged marriage with Kiyoka Kudou (voiced by Kaito Ishikawa), a military captain known for being so cold that all his fiancées ran away.
However, Miyo is surprised to find that Kiyoka is kind, not cruel. Instead of a painful life, Miyo finds love and happiness in her new marriage.
New Casts:
Tadakiyo Kudo:
Voiced by Ryōtarō Okiayu, Tadakiyo is the former head of Kudo family and the father of Kiyoka Kudou. He has a weak body, but his gifts are deserving of his family name. His personality is quite gentle.
Fuyu Kudou:
Voiced by Kikuko Inoue, Fuyu is the wife of Tadakiyo Kudo and mother of Kiyoka. Her personality is prideful and abrasive towards others. She is quite foul-tempered and can be seen having trust issues with people, especially those with kindness.
Naoshi Usui:
Voiced by Yūya Uchida, Naosi is the founder and leader of Gifted Communion which is a religious organization. He is cousin of Miyo’s mother, Sumi Saimori. His personality is said to be unknown, since he can change it as his wants.
