In the second episode of Channel A’s weekend drama “Marry You”, Bong Cheol-hee (played by Lee Yi-kyung) went on his first blind date. Although the match didn’t work out, it was a chance to show his genuine charm. The episode focused on the “Marriage Morale Boost” Team’s efforts to find him a suitable partner, delivering warm moments, humour, and hints of romance.
In the previous episode, Jung Ha-na (Jo Soo-min) had an intense reunion with her ex-boyfriend, Ki-joon (Koo Jun-hoe), whom she hadn’t seen in three years. She slapped him in a satisfying moment, but their connection wasn’t as over as she thought. Ki-joon soon became the leader of Ha-na’s matchmaking team. While Ha-na seemed to have moved on completely, Ki-joon appeared to carry regrets and a mysterious secret, leaving viewers curious.

In episode 2 of “Marry You”, the team found Cheol-hee’s first match: Min-ji (Choo So-jung). Both wanted relationships that felt as comforting as a home-cooked meal, but their ideas of what that meant were different. For Cheol-hee, it was about sharing a simple, relaxed meal, while for Min-ji, it was a special moment with one person. Because of this difference, the match didn’t work out. However, Ha-na saw the process as a “successful failure”, as Cheol-hee’s considerate nature left a lasting impression, giving her hope for his future.

Cheol-hee also had a chance meeting with In-a (Ji Yi-soo). He saved her from a dangerous situation, showing his caring side even though he ended up soaking wet. He gently gave her a bear-shaped band-aid, and later that night, In-a looked at it with excitement, feeling like she had met someone special.
The episode ended with an intense scene involving Cheol-hee, Ha-na, Ki-joon, and In-a. Cheol-hee had become a local hero after helping children at a store, but this also put the matchmaking project at risk. Ha-na rushed to his home to resolve the issue, only to find In-a there. It was the first time Ha-na had seen In-a since discovering her past betrayal with Ki-joon three years ago. The atmosphere became tense as Ki-joon also appeared, and their complex emotions added to the growing drama.
The interactions among these four characters are becoming more entangled, promising exciting developments. The final moments hinted at bigger changes in their relationships, leaving viewers eager to see what happens next.
“Marry You” is a romantic comedy about Jung Ha-na, who wants to remain single, but is stuck with “Marriage Morale Boost” Team due to her boss and tries to escape a matchmaking project by helping Bong Cheol-hee get married.
Episode 3 of “Marry You” will air on Saturday, November 23, at 7:50 PM (KST) on Channel A.
