In the fifth episode of the tvN drama “Parole Examiner Lee”, which aired on December 2, a dramatic twist unfolds as Lee Han-shin (played by Go Soo) gets caught by detective An Seo-yun (played by Kwon Yu-ri) during an illegal gambling sting.
The storyline reveals Lee Han-shin, a former lawyer turned parole officer, going undercover at a gambling den. He sets up the operation to expose Yong Jin-sang, a notorious businessman. This comes after a parolee, wrongly accused of theft, tragically ends his life, prompting Lee Han-shin to seek justice.

However, when the hired players fail to deceive Yong Jin-sang, Lee Han-shin personally enters the game. As tensions rise, detective An Seo-yun unexpectedly leads a raid on the scene. The intense standoff showcases Lee Han-shin’s arrest, with Seo-yun displaying unflinching authority.

Despite this confrontation, the three characters – Lee Han-shin, An Seo-yun, and Choi Hwa-ran (played by Baek Ji-won), have previously worked together to combat corruption. The dynamics between them leave viewers curious about the fallout from this incident and Lee Han-shin’s ultimate plan.
