Kim Nam-gil Wears Monk Robes in “The Fiery Priest 2”

In the new SBS weekend drama “The Fiery Priest 2”, which premiered on November 8, Kim Nam-gil was seen wearing monk’s robes instead of his usual priest attire in the series as the priest, Kim Hae-il.

The Fiery Priest 2” is about a hot-tempered catholic priest who has believes takes on the role of punishing criminals at night. He used to be an NIS agent but took the path of priest once he retired. It is sequel to the “The Fiery Priest” which aired from February 15, 2019 to April 20, 2019.

In the episode 1 of “The Fiery Priest 2”, we see Kim Hae-il listening to a confrontation between Shin Ho-dong (played by Na Seon-wook) and a group of monks from a nearby temple.

At one point, Kim Hae-il steps in and questions Shin Ho-dong, saying, “Look at you all, each one is looking like a high blood pressure medicine. Rumour has it that you are planning to burn this place down and build some luxury townhouses with a city view, right?”

Trying to give them a chance, he adds, “Buddha is here, so I’ll offer you some mercy. If you promise to live better from now on, we can act like none of this happened today”. But Shin Ho-dong scoffs in response.

Seeing this, Kim Hae-il decides to act and takes down Shin Ho-dong and his gang, one-by-one, calling them “Hell’s Express Pass Holders”.

The episode 2 of “The Fiery Priest 2” will premiere on November 9 at 10 PM on SBS. The series will be available to stream on Netflix shortly.
