KBS weekend drama “Iron Family” left the viewers amazed with its episode 20, which aired on December 1. Seo Kang-ju (played by Kim Jung-hyun) finally found the 10 billion won which was hidden under the bed in the laundry owned by Ahn Gil-rye (Kim Young-ok) and Lee Man-duk (Park In-hwan).
Kang-ju went through a lot of trouble before he could sneak into the laundary. While there, he accidentally overheard a secret conversation between Go Bong-hee (Park Ji-young), Man-duk, and Gil-rye. He learned about the stolen money that had been hidden for years. Kang-ju wanted to confront them right away but stopped himself, worried that revealing this could also expose the tax fraud done by his mother, Baek Ji-yeon (Kim Hye-eun).
Meanwhile, Ji Seung-don (Shin Hyun-joon) made a big move by deciding to buy a house that belonged to his late father-in-law. During his divorce meeting with Ji-yeon, he gave her the sale papers for the house which her father left her. Ji-yeon, felt sad, remembering her memories in the house, while she left the house.
In the episode, Seung-don and his biological son, Cha Tae-woong (Choi Tae-joon) didn’t get along, and their arguments continued. Go Bong-hee, seeing the relationship between the son and father, decided to help them make-up. She brought Tae-woong to Seung-don’s house and told them that it was time to stop fighting and try to fix their relationship. Seung-don didn’t agree with her at first, but the feeling of being left along after Kang-ju and Ji-yeon left the house made him to rethink about it.
In a funny moment, Lee Mi-yeon (Wang Ji-hye) thought Nam Ki-doong (Jo Bok-rae) sent her kimchi because he liked her. She made a bold move and kissed him in a quiet barbecue restaurant.
The episode ended with Kang-joo returning to the laundromat with a large bag, ready to take back the stolen money. But things might not go smoothly. The preview for the next episode showed Bong-hee, Man-duk, and Gil-rye being arrested and handcuffed. Fans are left wondering: is this real, a dream, or just a hint of what’s to come?
As the story heads toward its final episodes, viewers can’t wait to see what will happen next. Will Kang-joo safely recover the money? Can the Seung-don fix the relationship with his family?
The episode 21 of “Iron Family” will air on December 7 on KBS 2 TV.
