In the latest episode of TBS’s Tuesday drama “I Wanna Punch That Scumbag!”, which aired on November 19, Sato Hokomi (played by Nao) took another step toward her dream of becoming a professional boxer. Meanwhile, her relationship with Kuzuya Kairi (played by Yuta Tamamori) deepened, but new problems create obstacles in their progress.
The story follows Hokomi, a young woman abandoned by her fiancé on their wedding day. Determined to turn her life around, she takes up boxing after meeting Kairi, a mysterious blonde man with a complicated past. The drama combines romance, comedy, and sports, as Hokomi works to overcome her struggles and break free from toxic relationships.
In Episode 7, Hokomi decided to take the professional boxing test. With the help of her coach and Kairi, her training routine now included weightlifting and more intense practice sessions.
On the other hand, Kairi also faced his own challenges. After starting an apprenticeship with photographer Asakura (played by Junpei Yasui), Kairi was unexpectedly reunited with an old sparring partner during a photoshoot. This encounter reminded him of his former dreams of being a boxing champion.
Meanwhile, Hokomi’s troubles escalated when she lost a government-issued laptop, creating a series of problems. Her colleague Nade (played by Shiori Tamai), who had always been supportive, lashed out at her, revealing buried frustrations. On top of that, cracks began to appear in Hokomi and Kairi’s previously happy relationship as they struggled to navigate their personal challenges.
The episode introduced Hamada Takahiro as Izaki Yuya, a boxer from Kairi’s past. Izaki played a key role in pushing Kairi to reevaluate his goals and reignite his passion for photography.
As tensions rise and emotions run high, fans are eager to see how Hokomi and Kairi will overcome these challenges together.
The next episode of “I Wanna Punch That Scumbag!” will air on November 26 at 10 PM (JST) on TBS.
