In Episode 5 of MBC‘s Friday-Saturday drama “Doubt”, which aired on 26th October, Han Seok-kyu’s character, Jang Tae-soo, discovers heart breaking secret about his wife and daughter, which leaves him devastated.
The previous episode revealed a shocking connection between Tae-soo’s late wife, Yoon Ji-soo (Oh Yeon-soo), and his daughter, Jang Ha-bin (Chae Won-bin), to a murder case. Suspicion mounts when Tae-soo discovers that Ha-bin might have been involved in a murder case. He’s further confused to learn that the phone registered under Ji-soo’s name belonged to Lee Soo-hyun (Song Ji-hyun), a friend of Ha-bin and the victim of the case.
Years earlier, Tae-soo’s family had already been fractured when he doubted Ha-bin’s innocence in the death of her younger sibling, which led to Ji-soo’s decision to seek divorce. Jang Tae-soo acted more like a profiler than a father which hurt his family bonds, particularly his relationship with Ha-bin, who remained distant from him even after meeting again.
In Episode 5 stills, Tae-soo is seen breaking down on the floor of Ji-soo’s disordered room, showing deep grief. It is not clear what secret was discovered by him, but it is expected to be revealed to the viewers on the episode 6.
