In KBS 2TV Wednesday-Thursday drama “Face Me”, the tension between Lee Min-hyung (played by Han Ji-hyun) and Cha Jung-woo (played by Lee Min-ki) reached new heights as shocking truths from the past surfaced, leaving viewers on the edge. In episode 6 of “Face Me”, it was revealed that seven years ago, Lee Jin-seok was arrested for the brutal murder of his neighbour, who was later found to be Jung-woo’s fiancée – Yoon Hye-jin (played by Ha Young). Jin-seok denied having anything to do with it, but all the evidence were against him, including his fingerprints and drug test reports. So, he was found guilty. Now, recently released from prison, he started stalking Jung-woo, blaming him for his ruined life and hinting at his plans for revenge.

While pursuing a suspect, Min-hyung unexpectedly encountered her brother, creating a tense exchange. Jin-seok’s bitter words and cryptic warnings left her shaken, while Jung-woo, unaware of their familiar link, continued to be haunted by his fiancée’s death. The complex emotional situation made Min-hyung struggle to balance her duty as a detective with the personal pain of facing her brother’s crimes.

Meanwhile, a new case brought Min-hyung and Jung-woo together again which revealed unexpected twists. A violent incident involving Jo Soo-kyung and her supposed relative, Oh Min-jae, seemed suspicious from the start. As Min-hyung and Jung-woo dug deeper, they uncovered inconsistency in the victims’ statements and their relationship. What first appeared to be a family matter turned out to be a teacher-student bond covered in lies.

Things escalated when Min-hyung tried to arrest Soo-kyung for providing false statements. She was attacked by Min-jae, who was then forced by Soo-kyung into harming himself to stage the situation as self-defence. Min-hyung was injured during the altercation, but Jung-woo arrived just in time to save her, breaking down the door to rescue her.

During the growing tension, Jung-woo also noticed something strange about the injuries sustained by Min-jae and Soo-kyung. Subtle details, like the depth and angle of certain wounds, hinted that their story might not be as straightforward as it seemed. These clues added to the growing mystery surrounding their motives and actions.

“Face Me” airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:50 PM on KBS 2TV.
