Choi Hee-jin Joins The Main Cast of “Motel California”

Actress Choi Hee-jin has joined the main cast of MBC’s new drama “Motel California, where she will appear alongside Lee Se-young and Na In-woo. On October 29, her agency, Saram Entertainment, confirmed that Choi Hee-jin will take on the role of Yoon Nan-woo in Motel California.

This drama is about the story of a young woman born and raised in a rural motel who returns to her hometown after 12 years, only to reconnect with her first love in a tale of unexpected twists and a “first-love-renewal” romance. It is directed by Kim Hyung-min, written by Lee Seo-yoon, produced by HB Entertainment and planned by Jang Jae-hoon.

Previously, Lee Se-young and Na In-woo were cast as Ji Kang-hee and Chun Yeon-soo, respectively, further heightening viewers’ expectations.

Choi Hee-jin’s character, Yoon Nan-woo, is a veterinarian deeply passionate about animals. She works closely with her former college senior, Chun Yeon-soo (played by Na In-woo), and unexpectedly finds herself caught up in a rumour with him, adding an interesting layer to her role.

Choi Hee-jin has steadily built her career with a diverse range of roles, including Disney+ original series Royal Loader, dramas like Strong Girl Nam-soon and Behind Your Touch, and films such as The Girl on a Bulldozer, Deal Complete, and The Neighbor.

With her continued impactful performances, there is much anticipation for Choi Hee-jin’s upcoming role in “Motel California”. The new MBC drama is scheduled to premiere in the first half of next year.
